Alexander Zhou is a rising 3rd grader at Kaufman Music Center's Special Music School in New York. He is sunny, energetic and full of joy. He has been studying piano with Dr. Natela Mchedlishvili since age of five.

Alexander recently won 1st Prize of group I in the 31st International Fryderyk Chopin Piano
Competition for Children and Youth in Szafarnia, Poland. He is the Youth Piano 1st Prize winner of
2024 Music International Grand Prix and First Great Award winner of Vienna International Music
Competition. In 2023, he won 1st place in Nashville International Chopin Piano Competition, 1st Prize
in Hartford Chopin International Piano Competition and 1st Absolute Prize in Franz Liszt Center Piano
Competition. During 2022 Cremona International Music Festival and Competition in Italy, Alexander
received 1st Prize, Best Classical Piece Prize and Best Modern Piece Prize in debut category. He is also
the Platinum Medalist of 2022 Grande Maestro International Music Competition.

Alexander made his orchestral debut in 2023 Cremona Music Festival, performing the first movement of
Mozart’s Concerto No. 19 in F major, KV 459. With the same passion for piano performing, Alexander
enjoys improvising and composing.
