Eunha Basu, from Bedford, Massachusetts, is a student of Alexander Korsantia and Mila Filatova. She is an 8th grader at The Winsor School. Eunha has won top prizes since the age of six at numerous competitions at the state, regional, and international levels, including first place wins at Steinway Piano Competition, Chopin International Piano Competition (Hartford, CT), Oberlin International Piano Festival Competition, Paderewski International Piano Competition, Aloha International Piano Competition, and multiple first place wins at Bay State (Massachusetts State) Competition, among others. Most recently (2024), Eunha was awarded Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Eastern Division Alternate. To date, she has garnered 17 first place wins in solo competitions she has participated.
As a winner of various competitions, Eunha has performed at Boston Symphony Hall, Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall), and the Orvis Auditorium. As a first prize winner of the Chopin International Piano Competition, Eunha was also invited to participate in the International Chopin Festival (Lato z Chopinem) in Busko-Zdroj, Poland. Eunha made her orchestral debut at the age of 10 after being selected as the youngest winner in the history of the Groton Hill Music School (MA) concerto competition. She continues to expand her piano learning through private and public masterclasses with piano pedagogues, including Stanislav Ioudenitch, Dang Thai Son, Alexander Kobrin, Simone Dinnerstein and Krystian Tkaczewski.
Besides solo piano performance, Eunha is heavily involved in chamber music through The Rivers School Conservatory ChamberMusicLab, a merit-based full-scholarship program. She enjoys giving community concerts with her piano trio in senior living centers and to raise awareness in food insecurity through Music for Food. She is also a member of The Back to Bach Project, helping make accessible arts education to young children by engaging in interactive performances in the community and mentorship opportunities.
