One of the oldest of instruments, the harp has been tied to myths and legends across many cultures and civilizations. In our concerts it takes on a unique chamber role that reveals its hidden qualities, and its chameleon-like character is fully on display in this program of original works and arrangements. Two lesser known, but equally wonderous Piano Trios bookend the evening.

DMITRI SHOSTAKOVICH  –  Piano Trio No. 1 in C minor, Op. 8
FRANZ LISZT/CAMILLE SAINT-SAËNS  –  Orpheus, Symphonic Poem for Violin, Cello and Harp
JACQUES IBERT  –  Interludes for Clarinet, Cello and Harp
CARLOS SALZEDO  –  Sonata for Harp and Piano
CLARA SCHUMANN  –  Three Romances, Op. 22 for Clarinet and Harp
PAUL BEN-HAIM  –  Variations on a Hebrew Melody for Piano Trio

Tibi Cziger, clarinet
Itamar Zorman, violin
Michal Korman, cello
Sivan Magen, harp
Assaff Weisman, piano
