Tomer Lev enjoys an unusually versatile career as a solo pianist, chamber musician, and sought-after lecturer and pedagogue. As a concert pianist, he has collaborated with renowned orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the English Chamber Orchestra, the Berlin Radio Symphony, and the Israel Philharmonic, as well as the symphony orchestras of Hamburg, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, the Tanglewood Festival, the Varna Festival, Colorado, Quebec, Kiev, and many others, including all major Israeli orchestras.

Lev has performed at prestigious venues including New York’s Carnegie Hall, the Berlin Philharmonie, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Beijing Concert Hall, Shanghai Municipal Theatre, Musikhalle Hamburg, the Rudolfinum in Prague, Sala São Paulo, Glenn Gould Hall in Toronto, as well as all of Israel’s major concert halls.

His lecture-concerts across Israel have become a landmark for their seamless integration of the academic and live musical performance, creating a cohesive, rich, and unified experience. An enthusiastic chamber musician, he was a member of the Israel Piano Trio, and in 2011, he founded the MultiPiano Ensemble with his current and former outstanding students. The ensemble has gained wide international recognition and recorded critically acclaimed albums for labels such as Hyperion and Naxos. Their Hyperion recording was listed among the top ten classical albums in the UK for 2022.

Tomer Lev is also a co-founder of the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University, established in 2004 in collaboration with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, conductor Zubin Mehta, and philanthropist Joseph Buchmann. The school trains Israel’s elite young musicians, nurturing the next generation of talent for the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
