Yunen Gu is a 13-year-old boy who is sensitive, humorous, imaginative and creative. Yunen has great passion for music and enjoys performing piano and composing. His dream is to become a concert pianist and let everyone love and enjoy music. Yunen started to learn piano when he was 4 in China. When he was 8 years old, he began to study piano with Prof. Kathleen Solose at the University of Saskatchewan. Now he studies piano with Dr. Michael Berkovsky in the Royal Conservatory (RCM). Yunen is a winner of numerous local and international competitions.

Yunen's favorite is classical music, but he also enjoys jazz. He is a member of his school's jazz band and is also an accompanist in his church choir. A bird lover, Yunen is good at math, coding and speedcubing, and he enjoys reading, writing his own novels, and playing table tennis.
