How to Register for Private Lessons
FOR NEW STUDENTS:
1) To get started, call us at (212) 501-3360 or email lucymosesschool@kaufmanmusiccenter.org to schedule a meeting with a knowledgeable staff member to learn about you and your musical interests.
2) After the meeting, our Adult Division or Young People's Division Manager will find the perfect teacher and schedule for you or your child.
3) Make a deposit, and we handle the rest!
FOR RETURNING STUDENTS:
1) Register online: Young People's Division | Adult Division
You can request a teacher and preferred lesson times at this point. You'll receive a receipt via email, and our registrars will confirm your teacher and time in August.

Private lessons with a supportive and motivating teacher are the best way to develop your skills at any level – beginner, intermediate or advanced. Private lessons are offered in cello, clarinet, double bass, flute, French horn, guitar (all styles), oboe, percussion, piano (classical, jazz, musical theater), recorder, saxophone, trumpet, viola, violin, voice (all styles) and theory/composition. We'll be happy to help you or your child get started!
Lessons are 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes. Students may begin private lessons at any time during the school year and summer, and registration is open year round. Children may register for 30 lessons during the academic year, or 4 lessons at a time during the summer. Adults may register for 7 lessons at a time, year round.
Students enrolled in Private Lessons receive a 35% tuition discount on Music Theory, Large Ensembles and Chamber Music classes and a 50% tuition discount on Dalcroze classes.
