Austin Chan, a nine-year-old from New York City, is currently a fourth grade student. He started learning piano at the age of four, and currently is studying piano with Qi Zhang at Musart Music. Austin loves music and has a great passion for playing piano. He was accepted to Juilliard Pre-College as Piano Major in 2024. He won the Grand prize in XV Chopin International Piano Competition In Hartford, CT, and the 1st place in 2024 VIVO International Music Competition. He won the Gold Medal in 2023 Piano Star (Piano League) International Competition. He was the First Place Winner at 2023 Royal International Piano Competition and 2022 Piano Star (Piano League) International Competition. In addition to being a student and maintaining his musical hobbies, Austin is in the school debate team, and loves drawing and participates in swimming outside of school.
